Leidos Protests $5B Nuclear Site Award Rescindment
By Natalie Olivo (September 15, 2016, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Leidos has filed a protest of a move by a U.S. Department of Energy agency to rescind a nuclear nonproliferation site contract worth up to $5 billion, which had been awarded to a company recently acquired by the contractor, a Leidos spokeswoman confirmed Thursday.
The National Nuclear Security Administration said it was rescinding the contract because the awardee, Nevada Site Science Support and Technologies Corp. LLC, or NVS3T, didn't give notice that it had changed hands from Lockheed Martin to Leidos Innovations Corp.
