Satellite TV Cos. Hit With IP Suit Over Channel Guides

Law360, New York (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Licensing company Technology Development and Licensing LLC has slapped Dish Network Corp. and EchoStar Corp. with a lawsuit for allegedly selling satellite television subscription packages and set-top boxes that infringe its patent.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, is just the latest to come in over U.S. Patent Number Re 35,952, titled “Television receiver having memory control for tune-by-label feature.”
