Legal Secretary Settles ERISA Claims With Townsend

Law360, New York (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Intellectual property firm Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP has settled a former legal secretary's suit alleging that the firm owed her money under a long-term disability claim regulated by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

Judge Jeffrey White issued a stipulation and order dismissing plaintiff Linda Burgess’ complaint against Townsend from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday after the parties agreed to a settlement.
