Mosaid, Micron Settle DRAM Patent Litigation

Law360, New York (February 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Micron Technology Inc. has agreed to turn over 400 patents to Mosaid Technologies Inc. and enter a licensing agreement with the company under a settlement agreement the parties announced Monday.

The deal will end litigation between the two companies pending since July 2006 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the companies said in a joint statement.

Under the agreement, Boise, Idaho-based Micron will receive a 10-year license to certain Mosaid patents, including patents covering Micron's dynamic random access memory, Flash, and...
