Class Action Against Northwest Dismissed

Law360 (August 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Cutting short what could have been a drawn-out legal battle, class members voluntarily dismissed without prejudice a class action suit against Northwestern Airlines Corp. on Thursday.

The action, which was filed in December 2005, was brought on behalf of investors who had purchased the company’s securities between April 21, 2005 and Sept. 14, 2005. It was pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
