Restructuring Practice: O'Melveny & Myers

Law360 (February 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Companies and investment funds with cash on hand are taking advantage of the current economic climate by participating in more distressed mergers and acquisitions deals, according to Suzzanne Uhland, chair of O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s restructuring practice.

In the last several months, the practice has been involved in more strategic distressed mergers and acquisitions, such as Bankruptcy Code Section 363(b) transactions, Uhland said.
