To Google Or Not To Google: It's Not Even A Question

Law360, New York (August 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Web users might be surprised to learn that Internet search giant Google Inc. wants to do away with googling, but trademark attorneys aren’t surprised in the least, even if some think the company’s efforts to avoid trademark dilution are overblown.

The company recently sent a slew of legal warning letters to mass media companies, warning the outlets not to encourage so-called "genericide" of Google’s trademark by using the company's name as a verb.
