DOJ Action May Herald Deal In KBR Bribery Case

Law360, New York (February 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a criminal information against Kellogg Brown & Root LLC alleging that the oil and gas services company and former Halliburton Co. subsidiary paid up to $180 million in bribes to Nigerian officials, a move that could prove to be a precursor to settlement of the bribery charges.
