Protostorm Fights For $10M Malpractice Coverage At 4th Circ.

Law360, Los Angeles (November 23, 2016, 5:16 PM EST) -- Protostorm Inc. urged the Fourth Circuit to find that $10 million in legal malpractice insurance coverage is available for an award the tech company obtained against a Virginia law firm for botching its online game patent, asserting Tuesday that a federal judge wrongly limited coverage to $5 million.

The law firm, Antonelli Terry Stout & Kraus LLP, had malpractice insurance with Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co. for up to $5 million before Oct. 25, 2006 and up to $10 million after that date. The coverage case...
