Ex-Comverse Chief Considered A Fugitive

Law360, New York (August 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Facing criminal charges stemming from an investigation into options backdating, former Comverse Technology CEO Jacob “Kobi” Alexander has fled the country, and is now considered a fugitive by the U.S. government.

Alexander’s attorney, Robert Morvillo, told the Wall Street Journal that he had not spoken to the former telecom chief in two weeks. At the time of their last conversation, Alexander was in Israel.

Morvillo told the paper that Alexander normally vacations in Israel this time of year.
