Leahy Discloses Plan To Reintroduce Patent Reform

Law360 (February 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Though his bill failed to make it to the U.S. Senate floor last year, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., has reportedly said he will not give up trying to reform the nation's patent laws.

Leahy, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, gave a speech Monday at Georgetown University on his legislative priorities for the current Congress.

According to Reuters, he told reporters after the speech that he would soon introduce another version of the Patent Reform Act.
