TiVo, Netflix Ink Patent Licensing Deal Following Lawsuit

By Kelly Knaub (November 29, 2016, 3:27 PM EST) -- TiVo and Netflix have signed product and intellectual property licensing agreements the companies say will enable them to give consumers a better entertainment experience, a deal that comes just weeks after the Federal Circuit ruled that two patents TiVo accused Netflix of infringing are invalid.

In a joint press release, the companies said Monday that the product agreement calls for TiVo Corp. to continue integrating Netflix into TiVo set-top boxes available to consumers through a select but growing number of pay-TV providers and retail stores.
