Class Claims Cut From OT Suit Against Ameriprise

Law360 (February 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has struck class allegations from an independent financial adviser's proposed wage-and-hour class action against Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. and remanded the suit to the state court system in California.

U.S. District Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday signed the order, which also denied without prejudice as moot Ameriprise's motion to stay the proceedings and compel arbitration or to dismiss the suit.
