Rite Aid Can't Demand Union Remove Staff, Judge Says

Law360, New York (December 1, 2016, 9:30 PM EST) -- A National Labor Relations Board judge ruled Wednesday that Rite Aid unlawfully insisted that a union agree to remove certain New York employees from a bargaining unit in order to reach a contract, saying a deal can't hinge on a condition that's not a mandatory subject of bargaining under labor law.
