Bristol-Myers, Sanofi Try To Cope With Generic Plavix

Law360 (August 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an attempt to cope with Apotex Inc.’s recent launch of generic Plavix, Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Sanofi-Aventis SA are offering the buyers of Plavix prices below the price of the generic version.

Tim Heady, the chief executive of UnitedHealth Group Inc.’s pharmacy benefit division, told the Associated Press that he has been offered the lower price, but has not yet accepted the deal.
