Law360 (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Ceramicas Industriales SA and Briggs Plumbing Products Inc. have won a partial victory over Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in their bid to recover costs for cleaning contamination at several production facilities around the United States.
Judge Barbara S. Jones of U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Wednesday that the statute of limitations provisions in a contract signed by the Chilean bath tile company when it purchased Briggs Plumbing was sufficiently vague as to allow the case against MetLife to continue.
