US Asks 2nd Circ. To Revive Alstom Exec's FCPA Charges

Law360, New York (January 9, 2017, 5:38 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors renewed their call for the Second Circuit to revive bribery charges against a former Alstom SA executive on Friday, saying a judge's partial dismissal of a count in an upcoming trial is enough to support a criminal interlocutory appeal.

Oral arguments are tentatively scheduled for the week of Feb. 27 at the Second Circuit in lower Manhattan in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act case against Lawrence Hoskins, who allegedly directed the passage of bribe money for a $117 million contract linked to an Indonesian power station.
