Northwest Flight Attendants Can Strike, Judge Says

Law360, New York (August 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Flight attendants for Northwest Airlines have the right to strike in response to the company’s failure to agree on a collective bargaining agreement, a federal bankruptcy judge ruled Thursday.

Judge Allan Gropper of the Southern District of New York ruled that he did not have the authority to block the strike by issuing a preliminary injunction, which the airline had requested him to do.
