Ticketmaster, NJ Strike Deal Over Springsteen Shows

Law360 (February 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. has reached a settlement with New Jersey's attorney general to resolve claims by thousands of Bruce Springsteen fans that the company steered them to a subsidiary selling overpriced tickets to the Boss' two concerts next May.

Under the settlement, announced Monday by the office of Attorney General Anne Milgram, Ticketmaster has agreed to “place a wall” between itself and its ticket reselling unit, TicketsNow.com, that bars Ticketmaster from directing online consumers to the wholly owned subsidiary for at least a year.
