Attys Seek $37.5M Of $125M Drug Prices MDL Deal

Law360 (March 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Attorneys for plaintiffs suing a host of major pharmaceutical companies have asked the court to approve a $37.5 million award in fees and expenses from a $125 million nationwide settlement in the multidistrict antitrust litigation filed by consumers and insurance companies over average wholesale drug prices.

The request, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, comes as part of a motion for final approval of the deal to send 82.5 percent of the fund to third-party payors and the remaining 17.5...
