Philadelphia Newspapers Seeks To Probe Recordings

Law360 (March 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt Philadelphia Newspapers LLC has asked a judge to allow it to hire a law firm to investigate unauthorized recordings of confidential prepetition meetings between the company and senior secured lenders.

In a filing Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the newspaper company asked to hire Elliott Greenleaf & Siedzikowski PC as special counsel to perform “specific nonbankruptcy related legal services.”
