Boeing Faces Class Action Over Retiree Benefits

Law360, New York (August 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A class action lawsuit filed against the Boeing Company on Monday alleges that one of the company’s divisions, Boeing Rotocraft, violated a collective bargaining agreement relating to lifetime retiree health care benefits.

The suit was filed by representatives Joseph J. Wood, Clarence Reynolds, Ann Clarck and Lowell M. Terry, all retirees from Boeing, and by the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), one of the largest unions in the United States, which represented the class in a collective bargaining agreement.
