Roche Wants Russian Co., Counsel Penalized For Drug Suit

Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. asked a New York federal judge on Tuesday to sanction a private Russian firm and its counsel for bringing an antitrust lawsuit related to a trio of cancer drugs, saying the "frivolous" lawsuit is merely intended to harass the pharmaceutical maker.
Roche asked U.S. District Judge Richard J. Sullivan to award attorneys' fees and costs for its attempts to fend off Russian drug company Biocad JSC's antitrust lawsuit. Biocad alleges Roche and others artificially inflated the prices of brand name drugs Avastin, Herceptin and Rituxan in the U.S. and engaged in predatory pricing in Russia...
