Canada Antitrust Officials Probe Ticketmaster Resales

Law360 (March 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Weeks after rock star Bruce Springsteen publicly blasted Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc., top Canadian authorities say they are investigating whether the company artificially inflated ticket prices by reselling through its TicketsNow subsidiary.

Industry Minister Tony Clement on Wednesday told the Canadian House of Commons that he had referred the matter to the country's Competition Bureau.
