Shook Hardy Launches Land Use Litigation Practice

Law360, New York (March 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Anticipating an upswing in land use lawsuits as demographic shifts and development threaten environmentally sensitive areas, Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP has launched a land use litigation practice out of its Miami office.

Florida's population is expected to double by 2060, creating a population density that will threaten sensitive wetlands, freshwater resources and coastal regions, according to Shook Hardy's Stephen Darmody, who leads the new practice.
