Enviros Fight EPA For Pruitt's Emails

By Juan Carlos Rodriguez (March 15, 2017, 6:55 PM EDT) -- The Center for Biological Diversity said Wednesday it has filed an administrative appeal of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's decision to deny its request for any and all communications to and from new EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt since he was confirmed by the Senate.

The EPA denied the Freedom of Information Act request on the grounds that it didn't reasonably define a set of records to search as required by the FOIA and EPA regulations. The CBD had asked for all letters, emails, text messages, instant messages and voicemails to or from Pruitt since Feb. 17.
