EPIC, SPLC Wade Into Fetal Tissue Researcher Privacy Suit

Law360, New York (March 17, 2017, 5:19 PM EDT) -- A group of University of Washington fetal tissue researchers locked in a Ninth Circuit battle to keep their personal information from being disclosed by an anti-abortion group found support Thursday from the Electronic Privacy Information Center, the Southern Poverty Law Center and a host of medical and women's rights organizations.

The researchers are urging the appellate court to affirm a Washington federal judge's order that the university redact their names and personally identifying information from records requested by anti-abortion activist David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, citing the fact that a disclosure of their names will likely lead to harassment...
