ITC Probing Ergonomic Keyboard Support Complaint

Law360, New York (March 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into ergonomic office-equipment maker Humanscale Corp.'s claim that CompX International Inc. is importing and distributing keyboard support systems that infringe a Humanscale patent.

The ITC said on Monday that it had voted to institute the investigation based on New York City-based Humanscale's Feb. 10 complaint, which targeted CompX International and its Canadian subsidiary CompX Waterloo and alleged violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
