10th Circ. Cuts Off Ex-AT&T Workers' ERISA Action

Law360 (March 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld the dismissal of a proposed class action launched against AT&T Corp. over the company's decision to transfer a group of retirees to a benefits plan under a spinoff company, agreeing with the lower court that the plaintiffs lacked standing to sue under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
