Judge Swallows Islands' 'Questionable' $2.7M Wage Deal

Law360, Los Angeles (March 30, 2017, 7:41 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Thursday approved West Coast burger chain Islands’ $2.75 million settlement resolving claims it shorted 22,000 workers on their wages, despite criticizing the "questionable” deal for requiring workers to file claims and allowing unclaimed funds to revert to the company.
