Nokia, InterDigital Patent Spat Kicked Back To ITC

Law360 (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district judge has dismissed Nokia Corp.'s bid to settle ongoing patent infringement litigation with InterDigital Inc. via arbitration, tossing the case back to the U.S. International Trade Commission.

In a petition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Nokia had asked for binding arbitration with InterDigital and two subsidiaries, or a declaratory judgment from the court finding that Nokia's patents were valid.
