Kelly Defends Border Wall, Tech Screening At Senate Hearing

Law360, New York (April 5, 2017, 1:28 PM EDT) -- At a Wednesday Senate hearing, the head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security praised the effectiveness of border walls in reducing illegal crossings and defended baggage screening and technology searches at airports.

John F. Kelly testified in a Senate committee hearing, titled “Improving Border Security and Public Safety,” that President Donald Trump’s immigration policies have already resulted in fewer border crossings based on recent data.
