LGBT Center Eviction Barred As NJ Bias Suit Advances
By Bill Wichert (April 6, 2017, 8:53 PM EDT) -- A lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community center has won a New Jersey state court ruling allowing it to remain in a Neptune Township building while it pursues claims its landlord acted out of anti-LGBT bias last year in not renewing the lease, the organization's attorney said.
Superior Court Judge Dennis R. O'Brien on Tuesday granted QSpot LGBT Community Center's request for a preliminary injunction barring its eviction while the group's discrimination lawsuit proceeds against the Jersey Shore Arts Center and that outfit's president, according to QSpot attorney Michael T.
