FERC Gives Final Enviro Statement To $1B PennEast Pipeline

Law360, New York (April 7, 2017, 2:30 PM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission moved the $1 billion PennEast pipeline project much closer to being a reality on Friday by issuing a key final environmental impact statement, which found that, with some adjustments, the project would have less than a significant impact.

FERC still must grant a final certificate for the approximately $1 billion pipeline, but approving the final EIS with a no-significant-impact finding is a major victory for PennEast Pipeline Company and its efforts to overcome opposition to the proposal.
