Juniper Asks For Time To Answer Largest Patent Case In US

Law360, New York (April 14, 2017, 3:44 PM EDT) -- Juniper Networks Inc. asked a judge in the Eastern District of Texas for more time to respond to an infringement lawsuit brought by Blue Spike LLC, saying on Thursday that it was a “Herculean” task to come up with an appropriate answer to the largest patent case currently in the country.

Blue Spike’s lawsuit, filed in January, involves 26 patents and more than 100 Juniper networking equipment products. In court filings, California-based Juniper said that this is the largest U.S. infringement case in terms of number of patents, accused products and potential asserted claims.
