Sun Denied Summary Judgment In Trade Secrets Case

Law360 (March 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied three motions for summary judgment filed by Sun Microsystems Inc. in a case in which Versata Software Inc. accuses Sun of patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation related to product configuration software.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a brief ruling on Wednesday stating that Sun had not demonstrated the absence of genuine issues of material fact in its motions for summary judgment.
