Home Health Clinicians Seek Cert. In FLSA Suit

Law360, Springfield (April 17, 2017, 7:19 PM EDT) -- A group of home health clinicians who claim they were improperly denied overtime under the "per visit" and "hourly" nature of their pay structure asked an Illinois federal court on Monday to grant them class certification in a suit against their employer, Centegra Health System.

Named plaintiff Laura Byrne and three other home health care clinicians employed by Centegra asked the court to certify the class of home health clinicians who had been classified as exempt from overtime pay under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and who the plaintiffs said should instead be paid time and a half for work...
