Green Groups Bolster Claims V. DOI Over ESA Changes

Law360 (March 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Intent on repealing the Bush administration's last-minute moves to unfetter federal agencies from mandatory environmental reviews, the National Wildlife Federation and other green groups have beefed up their allegations with additional claims under the Endangered Species Act.

The 15 plaintiffs allege the agencies exceeded their authority when implementing new regulations doing away with consultation requirements on federal projects, violating the ESA and other environmental laws.
