Court Hears Arguments In Patent Suit Over Streaming Media

Law360 (February 9, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has begun hearing arguments in a patent infringement lawsuit against more than a dozen internet pornographers, in a case that could have broad implications for online audio and video transmissions.

U.S. District Court Judge James Ware on Friday held the first of what could be several hearings to determine if Acacia Media Technologies owns broad video- and audio-streaming patents.
