Tetris Sues Rival Online Block Game 'Blockles'

Law360, New York (March 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The makers of Tetris have sued an online gaming Web site for copyright infringement and unfair competition, alleging that a game on the Web site is a knockoff of the popular block puzzle game.

The Tetris Co. filed the lawsuit against BioSocia Inc. on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging that its game “Blockles” infringes the copyright and trade dress of Tetris.
