Fleetwood Enterprises Workers File WARN Act Suit

Law360, New York (March 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. workers who were given the ax a day before the recreational vehicle maker went bankrupt have filed a putative class action claiming they were given no warning of the mass layoff.

Two Fleetwood employees representing hundreds of laid-off workers filed an adversary complaint in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California on Friday, alleging the company violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act by failing to give them the requisite 60 days’ notice.
