Collector Of Vivian Maier Photos Can't Sell During IP Row
By Diana Novak Jones (April 25, 2017, 8:31 PM EDT) -- The owner of a massive collection of amateur photographer Vivian Maier's work can't sell or move his photos while an Illinois federal judge sorts out whether their copyright belongs to her estate, the judge said Tuesday.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin ordered Jeffrey Goldstein, a major collector of Maier's work, not to sell, destroy or move his collection of negatives, pictures and film for the next 10 days while the judge considers whether to enter a permanent injunction that could take away the collection from Goldstein altogether.
