Frontier Airlines Moves To Ground Pilots' 401(k) Match

Law360, New York (March 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Frontier Airlines, in the midst of reorganizing under Chapter 11, is seeking to stop its pilots union from laying claim to more than $7 million in 401(k) company matching contributions.

Frontier filed an adversary complaint against the Frontier Airlines Pilots Association on Monday, asking a judge for a declaratory judgment that would stop FAPA and its members from seeking 401(k) matching benefits from the company, as the two parties dispute the terms of a collective bargaining agreement reached in January 2009.
