Microsoft, Nintendo Prevail In Joystick Patent Spat

Law360, New York (March 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed a suit against Nintendo of America Inc. and Microsoft Corp., putting to rest a long-running infringement battle brought by a patent-holding company over joysticks used with gaming consoles.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the East District of Texas on Monday dismissed Fenner Investments Ltd.'s case against the two electronics companies, which alleged the companies infringed on its patent for a "low-voltage joystick port interface."
