CFPB Action Unconstitutional, Calif. Attorney Tells High Court

Law360, New York (May 8, 2017, 4:27 PM EDT) -- A California lawyer accused by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau of involvement in a home modification scam on Monday told the U.S. Supreme Court that the bureau’s case was invalid from the start, and its director’s move to cure that problem after winning Senate confirmation was insufficient.
