Class Certified In Unitek FLSA Cable Installation Spat

Law360 (March 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal district judge has given conditional certification to a collective action alleging that cable installation and repair company FTS USA Inc. and its parent company Unitek USA unlawfully failed to pay their technicians for nonproductive work hours and overtime hours.

Judge Bernice B. Donald of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee said Tuesday that she'd go along with the February recommendation of Magistrate Judge Gerald B. Cohen.
