Former Solutia Execs Look To Regain Pension Plans

Law360, New York (August 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A case has gone to trial in which a group of former Solutia Inc. executives are suing their former parent company for allegedly withholding millions of dollars in pension benefits.

According to the complaint, originally filed two years ago in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis, Pharmacia Corp. owes the executives for benefits, interest on overdue payments and damages from the unfavorable tax consequences that have resulted.

All of the executives in the case joined Solutia when it spun off from Monsanto Co. in 1997....
