Judge Stays Northwest Air Attendants Strike

Law360, New York (August 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge said he needed more time Friday before he decides whether flight attendants with Northwest Airlines Corp. have the right to strike over their pay.

Judge Victor Marrero said it would do more damage to Northwest and the public if he allows the strike without examining the issues more carefully.

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA has said it could begin random, unannounced strikes Friday, in response to the company’s failure to agree on a collective bargaining agreement.
