Overcharge Action Against Title Insurer Gets Boot

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a putative class action accusing United General Title Insurance Co. of inflating title insurance rates after a Pennsylvania woman refinanced her home.

Judge Berle M. Schiller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday ruled that the plaintiff had failed to exhaust administrative remedies before filing suit.
