UPS Drivers Win Initial Class Cert. In FLSA Action

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted nationwide collective status to a group of drivers in their wage-and-hour battle against a unit of package delivery giant United Parcel Service Inc.

Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday approved the plaintiffs' motion for conditional class certification.
